Courage to Belong Home Practice Retreat – 18-22 May

A Gaia House online home retreat with Jaya Rudgard and Kirsten Kratz, assisted by Bernat Font.

For those who were registered for the Courage to Belong retreat, and anybody who feels a connection to Gaia House and/or the Insight Meditation tradition.

Retreat Description

At this time, we are all being called and compelled to open our hearts to the truth of our interconnectedness. How might the understanding of our profound interdependence with all of life change the way we perceive ourselves and others and how we live in the world?

You are warmly invited to join this online retreat if you would like to spend some days with others who share a love of silence and stillness and who feel drawn to the Buddha’s teachings. Through practices supporting kindness, insight and inquiry we will cultivate the heart’s capacity to open in ways that nourish and empower us, bringing forth compassion, joy and the possibility of responsive action.

All are welcome.


This online retreat will include periods of instruction, guided meditation practice, silence, Dharma reflections, sharing together as sangha/community and optional smaller group meetings, as well as time for practicing independently in your home. There will also be daily offerings of guided movement (qigong).

Please note you will not have to look at your screen for all the time we are together: at times you may only want to listen in.

The format will support all who wish to attend the scheduled group sessions while continuing to be quite fully engaged with your ongoing life at home, and also those wishing to practice formally in a sustained way throughout the days.

Joining this retreat will require your commitment to attending the first and final sessions: please see the schedule below.
