Online sitting group
Gaia House is piloting an online monthly sitting group on the first Monday of each month from 8-9pm (UK time) via the easy to use Zoom platform.
To join the meeting, please click here.
Gavin Milne is facilitating the first few meetings:
- 2 March
- 6 April
- 4 May
- 1 June
- 6 July
- 3 August
The emphasis will be on daily life practice, with each session comprising a meditation, some Dharma reflections, and time for some questions.
The group is suitable for all levels of experience, although some familiarity with Buddhist teachings and prior experience of either an evening course or a retreat will be assumed.
You are welcome to join on any dates that suit you, although we ask you to attend for the whole of each meeting.
To offer Dana related to this offering, to Gavin Milne or Gaia House, please click here. Please note that you will need to click on the ‘Add to basket’ button for each donation separately. To ensure that Teacher Dana reaches Gavin, please specify in the notes section on the checkout page that your Teachers Dana is for Gavin Milne. Thank you.
Zoom is web-based so does not require any permanent software to be downloaded but it does require a device with speakers or headphones and a reasonable internet connection to stream live video, and ideally a camera and microphone, this can be a laptop, tablet or mobile phone.
An account is not needed to join the meeting, but on first use the program/app needs to be downloaded onto your PC/Mac or mobile device.
On your laptop/pc/mac this is quite straight forward, as when clicking on the link above, it will automatically download the app and then, once downloaded it will open up in the meeting room. You may need to confirm that you are happy for the launcher to install or open on your device.
If accessing on a smart phone or tablet, you will also be prompted to download the app from either Google Play or the Apple App Store. Using Google Play or the App Store, search for Zoom. It can also be downloaded from here, https://zoom.us/support/download
