Contemplative exercises based on the teaching in establishing mindfulness (Satipaṭṭhāna). Gradual steps in the training of sustained attentiveness help to bring about insight into being with ourselves and with others. Silent meditation, breathing exercises and guidance from the wealth of Buddhist contemplative tradition allow us to touch the stillness within and the application of mindfulness in the four areas of experience. We will use gentle and precise training in unifying the mind, in varying forms of awareness and inquiry and the practice of Lovingkindness; the retreat will consist of sitting, standing and walking meditation and individual and group interviews.
